Bollywood singer Kavita Krishnamurti captivates audience in Kathmandu, Nepal
On International Women’s Day famous Bollywood singer Kavita Krishnamurti and her husband and violin maestro Dr. L. Subramaniam captivated the audience in Kathmandu, Nepal with their mesmerizing performance.
The music lovers at fully packed lawn of the India House enjoyed each and every performance by the musical duo on Friday evening.
Veteran Bollywood singer presented some of her most popular numbers including Hawa Hawai and Nimbooda Nimbooda.
She also presented Pyaar Hua Chupke Se and Aaj Main Upar Asmaan Neeche songs which were sung for famous Bollywood actress from Nepal Manisha Koirala, who was also present at the concert.
Kavita Krishnamurti also sung her very popular Nepali song Chitthi Ayena for her Nepali fans. Dr. Subramaniam enthralled the audience with his energetic, contemporary and classical portrayal of violin playing.
The Vice President of Nepal Nanda Bahadur Pun graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
Over 1500 people from different walks of life including politicians, artists, musicians, literary persons, students and media attended the event.
The Charity Concert was organised by the Indian Women’s Association to promote shared musical heritage of India and Nepal.
Indian Women Association is a forum for promoting goodwill and friendship between the Indian and Nepali community through social and cultural activities.
It regularly organizes various philanthropic activities supporting social causes especially relating to women and children in Nepal.
